Welcome
Dear friend,
Thank you for registering for Arise Kochi 2026. As we prepare to gather on Saturday, 7 November, at Presidency Kochi, we invite you to begin the journey early, with God’s Word and in prayer.
The Gospel at work in us
The Gospel is good news not only for our salvation, but for the whole of life. The same Gospel that saves us also renews us. Through the Spirit of God, it is at work in us day by day, conforming us to the image of Jesus Christ (Romans 8:29; 2 Corinthians 3:18). As the Gospel shapes our hearts, our families and our churches, a Gospel culture begins to grow, and it overflows to bless the city.
Becoming a city catalyst
These ten days are an invitation to prepare our hearts to be city catalysts. A city catalyst is someone whose life, renewed by the Gospel, sparks change around them. City catalysts do not try to do everything themselves. They:
- pray, listen and notice the needs of the city;
- recognise the gifts God has placed in others; and
- bring people, churches and organisations together to serve in their own sphere of influence, at home, in church, at work and in the neighbourhood.
Whether you serve as a pastor or church leader, run a business, work as a professional, study at school or college, or serve in your community, God has placed you in a sphere of influence in Kochi. When we speak of the Church or the body of Christ, we mean God’s people not only when they gather, but as they are scattered through the week across homes, businesses, offices, hospitals, schools, campuses and neighbourhoods. Each believer carries a redemptive role, including through their work, and through them the Gospel touches every part of the city.
How to use this plan
- Set aside 15 to 20 minutes each day.
- Tap “Read passage” and read the Scripture slowly, twice if you can.
- Reflect on the key truth and the reflection.
- Sit with the question and the “At work and study” prompt, and note what God is saying to you.
- Pray the prayer, then pray for Kochi using the prompt for the day.
- If you can, journey with a friend, your family or your church team, and share one thing each day.
We suggest you begin on Wednesday, 28 October, and finish on Friday, 6 November, the day before we gather. If you start later, simply begin with today’s reading; you can always come back to the days you missed.
The journey ends with our Lord’s prayer in John 17, that His people may be one so that the world may believe. This prayer lies at the heart of KTN and of Arise Kochi.
We look forward to welcoming you on 7 November.
